Aktivra, strategi och identitet
Aktivra
The Company
Aktivra is a non-profit organization that creates VR experiences for patients in healthcare settings. Through immersive digital experiences and the support of dedicated guides, they create moments where patients and their families can step away from hospital routines, anxiety, and treatment for a while.
Background
Aktivra had reached a stage where the organization needed to evolve from a founder-led initiative into a more established and independent non-profit. At the same time, there was no cohesive brand platform or visual identity that could build trust among funders, healthcare partners, and decision-makers.
Through research, interviews, and market analysis, we found that many similar initiatives tend to focus heavily on the VR technology itself and its clinical effects. But in conversations with Aktivra, it became clear that the real impact lies elsewhere, in the feeling of freedom, presence, and the chance for patients to be seen as more than their illness, even if only for a moment.
Solution
We developed a brand platform and visual identity that puts people before technology. Rather than positioning VR as the main solution, we focused on what the experience actually means for patients and their families: a break from hospital life and a moment of freedom and empowerment.
Based on that insight, we created a strategy, tone of voice, and visual expression that balance warmth, trust, and playfulness. We also developed storytelling recommendations that place greater emphasis on patients’ experiences rather than the technology itself.
The goal was to build a brand that feels human, credible, and clear, both for the families engaging with the organization and for the decision-makers and funders who need to understand its value. The result was an identity that gives Aktivra stronger conditions for national growth without losing the heart of the organization.
