Scania
Scania
The Company
Scania is a global leader in transport solutions, but is still seen as just a traditional truck manufacturer. Their mission now is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. A main part of that is their Ventures and New Business division. There, they invest in, acquire, and scale companies that actively build that future.
Background
The task was to showcase Scania’s future-first approach in an engaging, tangible way – using their Ventures and New Business as a proof point. From AI brains for trucks to fully autonomous vehicles, these ventures sound straight out of a futuristic, science fiction world. And in these uncertain times, sci-fi stories are more popular – and more important – than ever. Seeing as they represent hope for the future, and hope for mankind. Which is exactly what Scania should represent, too.
Solution
We created VENTURE, a sci-fi novel that transforms complex business ventures into a hopeful narrative. In this epic universe, Scania’s ventures are personified as characters battling the ultimate villain: The Emissions Empire. We sent VENTURE to current and potential partners as an invitation to write the next chapter of the future, together. Additionally, we created a campaign site as an extension of the book; where we offered an even more clear and concise explanation of each venture. Bringing life into B2B comms, making the ventures engaging to learn about, and proving Scania’s future-forwardness – all by using the power of science fiction.
