KORTEN PÅ BORDET
Ekonomifakta
The Company
Ekonomifakta is a knowledge platform by Svenskt Näringsliv that collects, explains and visualizes facts and statistics about the economy, labor market, taxes and the environment in an accessible way.
As media habits change and more content is consumed through social media and short form formats, the challenge is to make economic knowledge more accessible and easier to understand.
Background
Economic information often feels distant, complex and hard to engage with, especially for younger audiences used to fast, visual and interactive content. Most economic data is created for those who already speak the language of finance, leaving a whole generation without a natural entry point. Young people's relationship with economics is more existential than rational: it's about anxiety, the future, identity and the feeling of control over one's life. Despite facts being more accessible than ever, they're rarely communicated in a way that sparks curiosity or feels culturally relevant. That created an opportunity to transform Ekonomifakta from a resource for the already informed, into a platform that meets a new generation where they are.
Solution
The solution “Korten på bordet” is built on the insight that young people today often seek guidance through emotional and spiritual spaces rather than traditional fact-based communication. Tarot, astrology and manifestation culture have become modern ways of navigating uncertainty around topics like money, identity and the future.
By entering this spiritual world, the concept meets the target audience in a cultural context that already feels familiar, engaging and emotionally relevant. Through tarot-inspired visuals, messaging and interactive experiences, economic topics are translated into a more approachable and relatable format that guides people through financial uncertainty in a new way. Rather than an alternative to other economic institutions, we let Ekonomifakta be the rational alternative to irrational guidance. The concept uses its visual language and emotional appeal as a context to make facts feel more accessible, understandable and relevant.
