Yepstr
The Company
Yepstr is an app that connects families and individuals with local teenagers for help with
everyday tasks such as babysitting, tutoring, and gardening. At the same time, the platform
gives young people a safe introduction to working life and their first job.
Background
In Sweden, there’s a strong culture of independence — the idea that you should be able to handle most things on your own in everyday life. Because of this, many people can feel embarrassed about getting help at home. With Yepstr, however, you can get help with everyday tasks without feeling guilty, since you are also giving a young person their first job. This makes life easier for you and gives someone valuable work experience. A simple win-win situation.
Solution
With the concept “Help That Helps”, Yepstr highlights everyday moments where adults and
parents can take a breather, while at the same time creating opportunities for young people. The campaign captures the core of what Yepstr is all about: relief without guilt, and trust in the next generation.
To spread the word about Yepstr even further, and encourage more people to feel
comfortable asking for help, we created a PR activation. For one day, thousands of young
people went door to door in their local neighborhoods, offering one hour of help with any
everyday task — completely free of charge. Yepstr covered the cost, turning one hour of help into two outcomes: relief for families, and a job for young people.
